Make money filling Online Surveys

The average person living in the UK will come across a form or survey at least once every year. If filling forms and surveys is part of life, why not get rewarded for doing it?

Surveys have for a long time been the preferred way for businesses and researchers to gather feedback or market research. Online surveys are just like the surveys you might encounter while walking on the streets, except in this case you fill them at your convenience and are rewarded for your effort.

What do I have to do?
In most cases you simply sign up and create a profile. Your profile will consist of information such as sex, age and location; in cases where a survey is targeted at a particular demographic, profile information can be used to determine whether you fit the target group.

You will start to receive invitations to complete surveys; these are normally sent out via email (check each survey site to be sure of their methods).

Below is a selection of survey sites that operate in the UK:

Survey website Typical Payout Summary
YouGov 50p - £1 per survey - One of the UK's largest market research companies.
- Invitation sent out by email.

PanelBase 25p - £10 per survey - Some surveys also include entry into a prize draw.
- Option to redeem your earnings in vouchers.

ValuedOpinion £1 - £5 (in gift vouchers) - Vouchers redeemable at popular outlets such as Tesco, Amazon, M&S, TOPSHOP and others.

OnePoll 10p - £1 per survey - Quick to complete surveys often on popular topics.
- Surveys are frequent, ideal to log in daily.

LightSpeed 87p (97p if gift voucher) - You earn points which can be converted into money or gift vouchers.

Making the most of online surveys
It's hard to predict how often you will be invited to do surveys on a particular website; they can only send you invitations if and when they receive surveys.
Therefore it makes sense to join as many survey sites as you can; this way you will be able to make money more regularly.

You will need to be careful which sites you join; there are sites out there that are setup to scam you, here are the things to keep in mind:

1. Are they asking you to pay in order to join?
In the real world you never pay to get work, why should a survey site be any different? If a survey site is asking you to pay to join, it is probably a scam.

2. Are they asking for unnecessary information?
Legitimate survey sites may ask for your bank account number and sort-code; this is so they can deposit money into your account. It is never necessary for a site to ask for your credit card details or debit card number.
